w2 trial.
—THE SECOND TRIAL—
Once again, at 9 AM sharp, a familiar bell tolls to alert the hour. You've become familiar with the flow of things, haven't you? You know what tod o — find your answers before the final ring chimes. Even if you try to avoid it, eventually your legs will bring you towards where you know you'll have to be. The courtroom doors swing open, welcoming.
Come by again, and it looks just like last week. Take your seat on any one you wish, and peruse the table lined with (non-alcoholic) refreshments and snacks. The same sign, promising a lunch break. And of course, your observers, sitting by the jury's seat shuffling about a stack of papers. Ask your questions and they will answer.
The judge's seat shows the same message as it has always done: "GRANT WE THINE JUDGMENT — ABSOLVE THEE THINE GUILT," and the same, strange, incorporeal form stays seated at the high seat, hand resting unto a gavel's handle.

The same blue, translucent field prevents you from leaving freely once you're in. You know the drill, don't you?

It's a bit messy, but she can make out that it may be a handprint? ]

Okay! Let's return up, to the neck, and check carefully. Maya looks for other injuries or wounds -- there seems to have been a fight of some sort, so perhaps Akeha received bruises or injuries]

.........
Speaking of that...any splinters? Anything that could indicate that Akeha was, at some point, in the midst of all those pews in disarray? Those could all have been messed with to make it look like there was a fight, without there actually being one. If she can determine there actually was a struggle...]

So! What else do we have? Anything else that seems worth noting?]
no subject
no subject
Welp, time to do it]
Let's do this as quick and painlessly as I can.
[Yeah, once Akeha's clothes are off she probably will be unable to put them on the same way they should be. Maya tries to open them up, hoping she won't have to damage them and risk destroying potential evidence]
no subject
Also, there is blood on her shoulder where that fabric was frayed, under her clothes, too. ]
no subject
[Well! This is already giving results. Maya just grabs the object and pulls.
is it a screw does she have to borrow the screwdriver from ango to take it out is this a surprise disgaea crossover
Also! About this blood on her shoulder, this all is related to the hella wound on her neck, correct? Is it all close enough to judge that yes, whatever caused the wound up there also may have frayed fabric and spilled blood here?]
no subject
Anyway. The blood on the shoulder seems to pool from a different origin than the neck! Maya can see that, if she looks closely to the shoulder wound, that it does not match the neck wound. It is a little narrow, a bit long. I'm sure Maya should be able to tell this is a stab wound. ]

Maya looks at the sardine she's now grabbing, sighs, and just...tucks it back in because she'll be sooner dead than walking back to everyone with a sardine, holding it aloft and saying "yeah i found this in akeha's cleavage". She's not paid nearly enough for this.
Oh, oho! Another wound! Just to be thorough, is there a matching hole on the clothes? Perhaps this was made with a katana or a similar weapon...]
no subject
Anyway, yes! There is a matching hole through the clothes, right where the dark fabric is frayed. ]
no subject
i swear if this case is solved because i dunno the sardine is akehas way of giving a final message about the killer im going to be so disappointed and a little bit impressed but mostly disappointed
for not coming up with it first]
Oh, good to see...
[Evidence! So, how deep does this stab wound look?]

........
[Well, time for what may be one last step: let's loot the body.
Got any objects or things on you, Akeha? The sardine doesn't count]
no subject
no subject
can you imagine how awkward it would be if/once people revive and maya just has to walk to akeha and be all 'sorry i stole your heels i thought you would be dead forever here have them back'
Alright! So, anything else before she goes and presents her findings? Did I miss anything?]
no subject
There is nothing more on Akeha's body, specifically. Aside from the small slashes that match all of the slashes on her clothes. ]
no subject
Having finished the examination, Maya tries to put on the clothes back the best she can, lies the sheet back on her, and goes back to inform her findings. Time to talk about all this!]
