—THE SECOND TRIAL—

Once again, at 9 AM sharp, a familiar bell tolls to alert the hour. You've become familiar with the flow of things, haven't you? You know what tod o — find your answers before the final ring chimes. Even if you try to avoid it, eventually your legs will bring you towards where you know you'll have to be. The courtroom doors swing open, welcoming.

Come by again, and it looks just like last week. Take your seat on any one you wish, and peruse the table lined with (non-alcoholic) refreshments and snacks. The same sign, promising a lunch break. And of course, your observers, sitting by the jury's seat shuffling about a stack of papers. Ask your questions and they will answer.

The judge's seat shows the same message as it has always done: "GRANT WE THINE JUDGMENT — ABSOLVE THEE THINE GUILT," and the same, strange, incorporeal form stays seated at the high seat, hand resting unto a gavel's handle.

"Today we will be investigating the cases of: Akeha, Valvatorez, and Vicious. Court is now in session."

The same blue, translucent field prevents you from leaving freely once you're in. You know the drill, don't you?

TRIAL RUNDOWN

• Trial for these three cases (Akeha, Valvatorez, Vicious) will last 9 hours. Characters will have time to examine the bodies of the victim and explore relevant locations.
• Mod break will be at ⏰【1:00 PM PST】.
• Characters must vote for whom they believe to be the guilty party by ⏰【6:00 PM PST】. Voting is mandatory. With the last part of trial live, we will be accepting the submitted FINAL ANSWERS as everyone's collective vote!
• The judge is flavor text. Do not try to talk to them.

[Oh, this time there's a corpse! Maya approaches, feeling a bit responsible for checking this one given this was the crime scene she and Sebastian stumbled upon -- and there's no way she's pushing Sebastian forward to be all 'go poke at this corpse with your baton its autopsy time'. So she'll handle things.

Maya grabs the sheet and pulls all of it off because apparently doing this little by little isn't her style. So! Let's see what's blatantly obvious from first sight! Still looking like you're in slumber, Akeha?]

[ Akeha looks peaceful! Except for the fact that her clothes are not pristine. Here and there Maya can see light slashes on the fabric, but... On one side of her neck, to the crook, and down the shoulder is quite bloody.

Another thing Maya can see at a glance is a sizable blood smear on Akeha's bare thigh that usually peeks out of her outfit. ]

[Well! Let's start with the likelier to be a fatal wound. Maya goes to Akeha's neck, ready to take a look. So! What's up here? A stab wound, perhaps?]

There is a chunk of her neck missing on this side, it is... Gore-y in that flesh is gone gore. Most likely this wound is what a good amount of the blood that can be seen on her bare skin and the white portion of her outfit. ]

Oh, that'll do it...

[This indeed looks like a very deadly injury. Maya tries to take a gooooood look at this quite gory wound. Do the edges look jagged? Is it a clean injury in any way?]

[ It's difficult to tell if it looks jagged or clean as it is really messy, so unfortunately she won't get a good idea if this is a clean wound.

But at least she can see in size it's a bit smaller than a fist. ]

[The size helps a lot. Well this definitely didn't come from a katana or any blades like those.

What could the other wound be, though...? Maya moves to the thigh, just in case. Her immediate thought was to see if the wound there is of the same size.

But, hey, first things first, before checking the finer details: what kind of injury is this? How messy is it?]

[ Damn would that be screwed up or what? But no, you remove the sheet and find that Val has all his normal body parts.

Immediately obvious is the red stain around his torso area, and other spots of red here and there otherwise. ]

He'll check there first, since that seems like the most obvious place for an injury. Is there a wound in Val's torso?]

[ There is a hole here. No really, Ango can check out his torso and he will find that the source of the injury appears to be some kind of... impalement wound. ]

[Oh huh. How big of an impalement wound is this? Is this like "dude got stabbed by a stick" size or "dude got stabbed by a wholeass tree trunk?"]

[ It's closer to like, dude got stabbed by a stick. It also seems to go right through. ]

[Oh good, no small trees were involved (probably).

He'll flip Val over in a moment but first he wants to check the other blood drops. Where are they on Val, and are there any wounds near them?]

[closes eyes............. is vicious still a statue when saki removes the sheet or is saki about to die right here and now.]

[ Saki removes the sheet and reveals that the lumps under the sheets are actually a bunch of small bombs and she explodes on the spot yeah.

Okay no. However, as she removes the sheet.... well, there's no sugarcoating this.

[ Unfortunately, they are Vicious-coloured. Fortunately, they are not fleshy.

He's not broken into a bunch of small pieces, just a couple of large chonks — he's still very recognisably Vicious. ]

[Oh, good.

Is there anything she can notice at a glance besides the fact that he's chonked? Like, is he split up into even pieces (like arms, torso, legs, head, etc.) or does it all look more haphazard, like he was just shattered and this is how he naturally broke apart?]

[ It's rather haphazard! His head is off, at least, and so is an arm. His torso is a crack point too. Aside from these larger chonks, there's also smaller crumbles just around the table.

[Hm... The smaller crumbles are part of him, too? Or do they seem to be made from a different material?

Is Vicious' finger on the gun's trigger? Saki will check how he's holding it, first, before she covers her hand with her sleeve to try and remove it. Carefully. If it won't come out easily, she will let it be for now.]
